Help & How It Works

Everything you need to use Endurance Atlas.

What is Endurance Atlas?

Endurance Atlas helps runners, cyclists, triathletes and other endurance athletes find useful facilities during training and travel. Locations may provide one or several amenities such as washrooms, drinking water, food or bike repair.

Finding a Pit Stop

  1. 1Open the map.
  2. 2Allow location access or search for an area manually.
  3. 3Use filters to choose the amenities you need.
  4. 4Tap a location to view its details.
  5. 5Check its verification status and Last Verified date.
  6. 6Use directions if you want to navigate there.

Understanding Amenities

🚽 Washroom

A toilet an endurance athlete can reasonably access during training or travel. May be seasonal or limited to business hours.

May include: Public & park washrooms · Recreation-centre washrooms · Business / customer washrooms · Portable toilets

💧 Water point

Potable drinking water or a bottle refill. Decorative fountains and sources not confirmed safe for drinking do not count.

May include: Drinking fountains · Bottle-filling stations · Public taps with potable water · Businesses allowing refills

🔧 Bike service

Tools, equipment, parts or services that may help a cyclist repair or maintain a bike.

May include: Bike shops · Public repair stands · Pumps & basic tools · Tubes / replacement parts · Professional repair services

🥤 Food & Drink

Food, drinks or basic training nutrition you can purchase — access to food or beverages, not necessarily sports-specific nutrition.

May include: Convenience & gas-station stores · Cafés & restaurants · Grocery stores · Vending locations

Understanding Verification

Known Location

The location is known to exist from a public, municipal, business or other reliable data source, but its endurance amenities may not yet have been personally verified.

✓ Athlete Verified

An authenticated Endurance Atlas user has recently confirmed information about the location or its amenities.

🐌 RSR Verified

A Rapid Snail Racing administrator has personally checked the location.

Always show the Last Verified date where available, because facilities, hours and seasonal access can change.

Verify a Stop

If you visit an existing location:

  1. 1Open the location.
  2. 2Select Verify This Stop.
  3. 3Confirm which amenities are available.
  4. 4Submit the verification.

This helps keep Endurance Atlas useful for other athletes.

Add a Location

Authenticated users can add useful locations that are missing.

  1. 1Select Add.
  2. 2Confirm the location on the map.
  3. 3Choose the Location Type.
  4. 4Select all confirmed amenities.
  5. 5Add useful details.
  6. 6Submit the location.

Do not select amenities that you have not personally confirmed or that are not supported by a reliable source.

Reviews

Use reviews for athlete-specific information such as:

  • Accessibility
  • Cleanliness
  • Seasonal availability
  • Ease of finding the facility
  • Bike friendliness
  • Useful information for runners or cyclists

Report a Problem

Use Report a Problem when information is incorrect, a facility is unavailable, a location has closed or a duplicate exists.

Accounts

Browsing Endurance Atlas does not require an account. An account is required to:

  • Add locations
  • Verify amenities
  • Leave reviews
  • Report problems
  • Save locations

Your Two Email Addresses

Your profile keeps two separate email addresses:

  • Logon email — the address you sign in with, set when your account was created. You cannot change this.
  • Communications email — where we send newsletters, tips and updates. It starts out the same as your logon email and you can change it any time from your profile, under Email & communications.

Safety

Endurance Atlas information is community-supported and conditions may change. Athletes should use their own judgement and follow posted rules, business hours, municipal restrictions and safety notices.
